looking for a Jan/Feb '63 327

Hello,

I'm looking for a 327 Flint engine for a March built '63 coupe (10176 Vin.). The car has a 5500 red line tach. which indicates it was a 250/300 hp engine.

What makes you think your car was built in March, especially with a VIN 10176? That VIN would indicate a September 1962 build date! First month of the 1963 model year!

Based on the VIN you gave, you should then be looking for an engine block with a casting date of M (month) DD (day) Y (year) or I/J/K/L (Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec) 1-31 (day of month) and 2 (1962) or A/B (Jan/Feb) 1- 31 (day of month) 3 (1963) - this casting date would you within the 6-month NCRS judging window

FYI - A March build date would have a VIN from 109815 - 111833

Well, I usually leave off the first digit which if included would make the Vin 110176 which makes it a March car.

My bad! Didn't really look at the VIN close enuf!

FYI - saw you were in Maryland - where abouts? I am in Severn, which is about half-way betwixt Balmore and DC
