About a year or two ago I put in a cheap set of Sunpro gauges to replace my stock gauges. This was a $30 set which included oil pressure, water temp, and voltmeter. I did this with the intention of re-doing them with good gauges when I cleaned up my interior (carpet, panels, etc).
Now, my water temp gauge went south and I'm going to re-do all of the gauges now.
My only requirement is that the gauges are electrical analog gauges. I'm also a function over form type of guy, so the cobalt blue/white faced/carbon fiber stuff doesn't do anything for me. I would really like a 270* sweep gauges, but finding them in the electrical gauges is pretty rare.
I'm really posting this to see if anybody knows about any gauges other than VDO, AutoMeter, Stewart Warner, or ISSPRO.
I really like the ISSPRO gauges since they are the only somewhat affordable 270* electric gauges. However, I have never heard of them before and they are a little pricey ($77 each for temp & pressure, $36 for Volt, and $32 + sender for fuel, + ?? for bulbs and bulb covers). Here is what the temp gauge looks like:
I'm currently leaning towards the VDO Vision gauges, mainly due to the graduated scale for the temp gague. It doesn't hurt that I could get the entire set (oil pres, h2o temp, volt, and fuel) for $150 including senders. Here is what the water temp looks like:
So, anybody know of any other gauges which has any features that make it stand out?
