looking for air con elimanator kit?

hi there guys,
im new to the site and come from dandenong -australia!
i own a 1991 red on red with 6 speed with most rpo extras available.
love your site bye the way.
i was wandering if any one can please tell me if you know of if there is a air con elimanator kit/removal to get rid of air con to free up motor/ and clean up motor a little?
what are your opiouns as well with this idea?

sounds like a good idea if you don't need your A/C anymore? here in the states most of us still kind of need it. but its a good idea, specially if the air is not working anymore and someone dosen't want to spend the money to fix or up grade to new freon. maybe we'll get lucky and some one has done it???

I believe you just remove it and put on a shorter belt. There are kits to remove the AIR pump as well, or you can make your own. I think Agent86 may hjave some plans floating around out there somewhere. He made a real nice one. Here's a pic of mine.

Breathless Performance makes one thatg is popular for around $150. You can get it at most of the discount catalogs or direct I think. I know thatg wasn't your question, but I think you can remove both completely and just put on a shortrer belt

Thanks I don't really know, should be about 425 at the crank, but it only pulled about 325 RWHP on a Mustang dyno :confused The 1/4 mi times would indicate significantly more than that from what I've read though. I just don't know anything about all those formulas
