Looking for Reputable OC California Shop suggestions

I am New and want to say thank you for such a great site. I have already learned a few things, just by surfing around the differedt posts.

My Question Please: Does anyone have any suggestions of Shops in OC where I can take my 75 and especially my new 81 for a complete diagnosis of what needs to be done, and that do good work.

My just purchased 81 needs so far as I can diagnose, shocks, rear end work, Air and Heating hookup, tune up. It's a beautiful car, with lots of potential but was not taken good care of the last 2 years. The guy disconnected everything and just totally neglected it basically.

I do most of the work on my cars myself, on things I know are wrong and are accessible. But there are things that are not right that I can't diagnose and some that need to be done underneath the cars where I can't get to. :cry

Any reputable or member recommended OC shop suggestions will be very much appreciated.

There is a good shop in Vaccaville, called VetteExpress and a couple pretty good ones in Sacramento/Rancho Cordova Don't know if that is close to you or not ..

Up toward the top of the page in the Portal Section you should be able to locate Repair and Parts facilities too

Sorry...been travelling.

My primary Corvette guy was Leonhardt Automotive, who is 99% retired; a true loss.

For the rear end, I'd go to Unitrax in Anaheim(?) and talk with Jerry.

I have not been impressed with either Corvette Mike, nor Coast, but I only got parts from Coast.

I'd really seek out a club and ask members. I do the vast majority of my own work on most of my cars, but utilize various web sources for expertise, when I get stumped.

What part of OC are you in, Don?

I mean this with all due respect, Any suggestion for a Corvette Club that is not just for high end owners would be great? Just that we do very well, but are not wealthy. My wife and I are over 40, and have always loved Corvettes, but we are not big collectors or restorers. We just finally can afford to buy our dream cars in a neglected state and fix them up. My wife and I have no kids, just each other and the Corvettes . . LOL!

OC has weekend events nearby, but my 2 Corvettes are not show condition, may never be. We just love Corvettes and want to learn more about them and how to restore and improve them,

Our 1975 is beautiful and runs flawless. Bought her in great condition for a great price. Super nice owners. They had all documentation, took great care of this car. The 10 year owner of the car "Wendy" even cried when we left. That's why my wife named her "Wendy."

However the 81 we just bought is Beautiful, but we paid way too much for her, and believed a whole lot of @#$%^&% that the owner told us. When we got her home found out she was a mess... My fault. My Wife said Pleeeeeze ! LOL! Next time I won't listen. We were blinded by the light.. The Corvette Light ... LOL!

So please if you have any Corvette Club or Shop suggestions for us here in the Orange County California area, please let me know.

Very good reputable shop. Just leave a message. When you call he is always very busy....If you do call Tell him Chris from Mississippi said Hi.
