So does that mean the remote is bad or the module? I get the impression it is the remote because the ECM is still willing to "retrain" remotes.

I retrained the RFA... but when it would lock- it would engage twice. This worked for all of about a day. Then nothing.

Two things-
- the remote's chip (inside of it) seems to rattle. Discovered this when I took it apart to replace the battery.
- replaced the battery and it still doesn't work right.

How much do these cost? Who should I order them from (best price)?

HI there,
There can be history codes for communications. This is classified as normal, due to the communications protocol with the c5.
As for your remotes not working, there could be a bunch of different concerns.
I would suggest posting the codes for the IPC and the RFA. Also let us know if they are current codes.
As for the rattling, this is normal, as the passive switch ball inside.

RFA U1064 Loss of communication. This code was not there a month ago.
No other system codes.
Important tid bit- my remote tire pressure system itself works just fine. Its just the keyless aspect of the system. What was odd though, was the system wanted to lock or unlock itself twice when the buttons were pushed. This never happened until I dropped the remote.

Interesting. Usually when things rattle after they have been dropped it is because they are really broken now!!! Oh, and I took the curcuit board out of the housing and then gently shook it. I guess the ball sits on the other side of the screwon the bottom right. Thanks.
