ME AGAIN WITHOUT HOPE! I'M ALMOST GIVING UP!...HERE IS THE SITUATION MY 1993 LT1 WON'T START YOU PROBABLY HAVE READ IT BEFORE. BUT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ IT HERE IS THE MOVIE, I changed the spark plugs and wire so she would be running like new, when I was lowering down from the jack I forgot one of the jack and the jack just broke my oil pan. Nevertheless I quickly order a new one and replace it. After I replace it she wont start, only crancking and the engine wont start. Well decide probably the optispark die I pray the lord for knowledge and replace the OptiSpark and the water pump. Now she start but dies in aprox 10 seconds, I'm listening to the fuel pump and have psi in the fuel rail at the beginning but none after. Now I have few mouse inside so I'm beginning to kill themo before they destroy something else like the radio antena cable they ate them!!!!/ What now could be the problem?? Should I just give up, or start hitting everything with a hammer (believe me I have think about it) Any Help will be appreciate:W

I would start with checking the electrical connectors and ground terminals ( you have mentioned that you have replaced the oil pan )

starting and dying witin a moment, seems like security / electrical problem to me...

Put some mothballs in the car. It will drive the mice out. I agree it sounds like a security system issue. Do you have a FSM?

There are 2 Fuel pump fuses on a 93 LT1 car in the fuse panel at the right end of the dash!! Make sure both are good!! 1 pressurizes the fuel rails when the key is turned on,the other runs the pump after start up!!:thumb
Might also be the oil pressure sensor,it can shut the engine if it doesn't sense oil pressure after start up!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

PS Also the fuel bump relay could be bad! Are there any codes stored?

The relay sounds good, but no electrical power on the fuse... Could it be a security problem??

I have put some trap and some venom, I only have catch 2. What's an FSM?

Put some bounce strips in car, smell good and keeps critters away. Believe me it works

If it starts then dies you are probably fighting a fuel problem, but check for vacuum leaks. Make sure all the hoses are connected and not cracked. Vacuum leaks will cause it to not idle and die.

Plug in the fuel pressure gauge, and watch the fuel rails prime. Observe and write down how fast the pressure drops to 0psi.

Then, turn the key off, and then back on, and fire it right away, WATCHING the fuel guage as it dies (10 seconds?) If the pressure does not maintain, the pump might not be getting the signal to re-start, after the initial priming.

Post up the guage reaction after it starts...

First we need to know a few things! Is there oil in the pan, did you smash the oil level sensor(if equipted) Is there fuel in the car?;)
