Low med blower switch

What is it with GM and these things,I 've had a couple of Malibu's a Nova tons of camaros and a couple of 72 monte carlos.Every single one of them the low and med blower won't work.No problem with the high. What gives?

if it's anything like the system on my 71 el camino (and it should be exactly the same), the hi fan is on a seperate fused circuit independent of all the other fan speeds. you should take a look at the fan relay which is probably the source of your problems.

The low and medium A/C blower speeds are controlled by the blower resistor on the A/C case in the engine compartment; the high blower speed doesn't go through the blower resistor - it's fed directly from the horn relay through a red wire with an in-line fuseholder to the high-blower relay, which then feeds the blower connector. You probably need a new blower resistor.

Thanks.I just had my AC compleatly gone through and it blows ice cold.I've got my shop guy getting me one.I suppose it's the same part that is used in all GM cars?
