Lower hose doesn't fit new 4 core 81 radiator

Bought a new 4 core radiator for my 81, supposed to fit.

Found out the lower connection comes out of the tank then
points up parallel with the core.

The old ones points up, too, but angles away from the core
maybe 30 degree.

The hose is straight on the end and fits the old one perfectly
but won't fit onto the new one because of the different
direction the lower connection points.

I saw one picture of a 70's big block radiator and that lower
neck pointed straight up parallel with the core like my new one.

I can only find the one hose listed in any of the catalogues,
they're all like mine - straight on the lower end.

To fit my new radiator, it would have to have a curve near
the lower end.

Anybody have any experience with this, or any idea which
hose I might be able to use?

This is a shot in the dark ... try parts store for lower hose to fit 1975 or 1976 vette with 350 ... they had a slightly different rad than 77 thru 82.
