I read somewhere that to install the original "V" shields on my 67 small block, I will have to use original motor mounts. I understand the replacement " locking type" motor mounts will not allow the shield to attach at the mount.
Has anyone run into this? Thanks, Kurt

That is true. The locking mount tabs stick out from the motor mounts and intefere with the V shield. Do a search in the NCRS forum archives. I believe Joe Lucia indicated that later model C3 V shields will fit.

I used the original style motor mounts, although I would like to find an engine safety strap that would fit and not look too out of place for peace of mind. The original GM retro fit safety straps are no longer available.

I have the new style locking mounts and had no problem installing the lower V shielding.. I guess you mileage will vary... I got my mounts from ZIP and let me state I think they are locking mounts as they have the ears on them.... Dave..
