Hey guys, would someone please explain how longer bolts will lower the rear of my '74 coupe? Do I tighten them as far as possible or make them as long as possible.
Thanks Bud :cool

With the 8" bolts you use the longer length to lower the rear of the car. typically just about every aftermarket spring I used in the past 10 years required the 8" bolts to get the rear lower. The stock 6.25 bolts just wouldn't work, even though I was told they would or the spring would settle-niether was true. Be sure to snug the 4 center bolts then install the 8" and then torque the center bolts after rolling the car and with the weight on them. Otherwise you may find you cracked the diff cover ears.
