Anyone swap out their LS1 manifolds for the LS6 one? Was there any tricks and any performance gains. I work part-time at a Corvette shop and come across wrecked vettes all the time. So I have the possibiltiy to get one, but is it woth it. Any thoughts??

I was told that it is another alternative to changing your induction system and that there is some performance gain over the stock system

LS6 Manifold swap

I installed one and it made a significant difference. Easy to do and I could probably do one now in less than 2 hours. It took me twice that because I went slowly and carefully. But it was easily accomplished and there was an immediate "seat of pants" performance improvement.

Better check it out first. I have heard that the manifold swap only helps 97-00 as Chevy changed the manifolds in '01 so that there was no difference between the LS-1 and LS-6 intake. Check out a couple of on-line catalogs (West Coast, Ecklers etc). They all sell an LS-6 manifold but I believe its advertised for 97-00 vettes.

I'd like an ls6 manifold if you come across one after you do yours.;)
