Lt1 Cylinder Heads

I haven't removed the cylinder heads from my '92 yet, but setting a '96 head along side it is evident the '92 casting is thicker in certain areas. Has anyone read about any differences between the the '92-'93 and later production heads?

Dont know too much about those heads, other then some were reverse cooling. Could that be part of the difference in casting?

Actually all LT-1 heads were reverse cooled. There were two different casting numbers for the LT-1 heads, not sure of the actual numbers. TPIS shows one as being the good casting number and the other as the "not good" casting number for exchange purposes on their ported LT-1 heads.
