Magnesium wheel repair

I looked at a C5 over the past weekend, noticed that the car had the optional magnesium wheels. 2 had very bad road rash, 1 was just scratched up and the 4th was OK.

The worst wheel had the coating on the surface scraped off in a 3 inch long area and the metal that was exposed looked and felt almost like fiberglass. I know these were a $2000 option, so my question is can these be repaired?

This seems to be the "Go To" guy...give him a call...I have never done business with him. Its not that far if you need to drop them off.
