Any owners out there have the Mahogany exterior color with the Cinnabar interior color? I just saw one of these for sale locally and would REALLY like to go take a look at it.

Just wondering how it really looks....any owners out there with good color pictures that show the true color?

Thanks,

Lanny........ I have/had Cinnabar cloth in my '81. (IF) this car has cloth and use decide to purchase it, bear in mind you can NOT get cloth replacement material anywhere.......ever. I tried for 15 years. I ended up swapping it out for Cinnabar leather (which looks great). I have seen a Mahog/Cinnabar car before in my travels; probably at Carlisle. Really nice combo.

Mahogany/Cinnabar

I just happen to own an 81 with a Mahogany exterior and a Cinnabar leather interior. It is a good combination. The rust color interior goes well with the reddish brown exterior. I really like the combo. I've had mine for 10 years and this is the first time I have heard of another combo like mine let alone see one.

As far as photos, I can't help you. I don't have anything in this computer since my hard drive crashed around the first of the year. I can't get any photos right now since the car is in winter storage until at least April.

Good luck, I hope you find the combo as pleasing to you as it is for me.

Tom...... I knew it was yours. I completely forgot. My apologies. It is a GREAT color combo.

Well the car sold...but not to me. It was on ebay and looks like it went for $10,500. The original mahogony exterior had been re-painted mahogony and it had the Cinnabar leather. Looked pretty good, did not have a Cinnabar steering wheel though.

But I just could not justify the $$$ after spending so much on my white one. I have replaced just about everything; springs, bushings, body mounts, brake calipers/pads, brake lines, heater core, hoses, power antenna, radio, shocks, carpet, windshield, added rear sway bar and this afternoon I am picking-up the engine block from the machine shop and beginning assembly this weekend. 0.030 bore, flat-top pistons, new rods, high lift cam, re-built 882 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves and on and on....like I said, I have spent waaaaayyyy to much money on this car. And I don't even like white cars!!! My favorite is the frost biege with the Cinnabar leather. Oh well..maybe someday...
