Not a question, but I wanted to tell about a vette I saw yesterday. I had gone to 21st Century Muscle Cars in Dallas, to check them out and get a few things. They've been highly recommended by lots of folks I talked to at car cruises. Great shop, and they only do vettes, with a viper here and there. Great guy John, showed me the shop. Lots of cars in the back they were working on, all vettes except one Viper. They had a new Z06 up on a lift. This car had Nevada plates. This guy had done: 427 aluminum engine, twin turbo, headers, exhaust, transmission, narrowed rear end, massive, and I mean way wide, back tires, and really who know what else. Those were the big things John pointed out. He said there was about $70k into that car, on top of the original cost. It had dyno'd (they have one) at 725 HP, will do a 9 sec 1/4, high 8's on a good day with slicks, and top out at 235 MPH. It also passed emmisions. Street legal. My God.

Just had to tell.....

Sounds wicked! A friend of mine has built a 421 for his '99. With all motor he has 500RWHP and if you look under the hood it looks completely stock! It also gets 29MPG!

Not as impressive as the one you saw but it is nice seeing this much HP on street legal C5's. Thanks for sharing.

First weekend with my first Vette

Just spent the first weekend with my new Millenium Yellow 03 convertible ... what a ride! As some of you may have read from my post last week, I had some reservations about the color, suffice it say, they're gone! Will post pics in coming days.

Now the big question for me is whether to use it daily for commuting to the office, roughly 15 miles each way, or keep my current commuter car and save the vette for weekends and especially nice days. Curious to hear how many of you drive your vettes everyday?

Also, I need to go out and buy some cleaning supplies. What works best and is safe for the body, interiors, etc. I've used Armor All safe for dash and other vinyle/rubber/plastic surfaces, is the the finish of choice? What do you use for as a washing and drying towels?

Thanks, I look forward to your responses!

I wish I could say it was mine but my dad drives his 01 White Convertible to work everyday, which is only about 10 - 15 minutes from home... No problems.. He does take the farthest parking space away from the door tho :D .. I drive my 76 to school everyday and have no problems.. biggest concern either of us have is DOORNICKS!!! watch where you park and you should be fine.
