I have been a corvette guy since i was a little kid... growing up with my dad's.... and now i have a reasonable amount of money but was wondering if what i am thinking about doing is logical and how much custom work is required.

MY IDEA

I would like to buy a 92 or newer rolling chassis or blown engine car, and have a new LT6 engine installed in it.

LATER PLANS

I want to do some work with Lingenfelter and make it into a twin turbo project car.

my main concern is will the LT6 engine fit reasonably similar to the old engine? I realize that changes to the mounting brackets may be necessary and of course some wire harness work too but other then that will there be any other major problems to overcome?

I have not yet found a car so if there is anyone selling a 92 or newer, with a nice paint job .... i am interested.

What LT6.

Do you mean the LT5 ZR1 engine?
Yes it'll fit in there, I dont know where youre gonna find a engine though. Then you have to consider that almost every accessory is unique to it.

I think you mean LS-6. I think it would be a great project for DEEEEEP pockets.

why not just buy the LT1 car and build the motor and add a supercharger? it will probably be about the same price once finished and your HP yield would me much much more than 405 hp that the LS6 puts out. build the LT1 to around 400-450 hp add a 10 lbs ati charger to it and you'll be around 600-650 hp. for every 1 pound of boost you'll get on average 20 hp.

JMO though ;)
