i ve been working on this off and on for a month making my own targa brace a had a bad top so i took the leep looked at some of the aftermarket braces and came up with this im still not done yet but thought i would share this with y guys like i said it s not done
 
What material are you using? Most of the ones I've seen are more of an X design. Yours opens up the cockpit for that open air feel. I used to take my hard top off quite a bit. Then one day I had taken my favorite canyon carving ride. Had the top on for the 20 miles of twistys on the way out. I turn around where the black top ends, and removed the top. Holy cats, these things twist with out that support. Very noticeable in the curves if you're pushing it. Not so much just driving around town.
 
i used 1x1 square alum the ones i seen are like mine r/d is what i made mine look like hopeful it will been done this week and then i can paint it i got about 100.00 in this instead of 450.00
