I finished that nightmare this morning. The car runs like a maniac now. But I sure don't want to have to do that again any time soon. But glad its over. Now I can get back to enjoying the car. Salute

Hey brad, How are you doing man? I am going to a car show tonight in the Z. It's supposed to be a pretty big one from what I've been told. Over 400 cars every saturday night. So I can't wait to check all the cars out.

ok considering, a couple of my service buddies are visiting , so its been joke central . sure wish sometimes iI lived in the big city for things like car shows and clubs . hesck i dont think there are 400 cars in all of lone pine now that she is running well i will bet you find all sorts of reason to drive her . they get addicting . thats why i have put 80k miles on mine in 31/2 yrsotfl

That will be good for your soul having your friends visit. Yes they are addictive. I am trying to keep the miles down on it. I bought it with 65,000 miles on her for $22,000. I've had her for 7 1/2 months now and she just turned 72,000. But eventually every engine has to be rebuilt at some point and time. My dream car has alway's been to own a 1968 GT500 Shelby. And I'll bet almost all of them have had to of been rebuilt at least once if not twice in there life time. That is if they were'nt wrapped around a tree. It makes me wonder out of the 6,939 ZR-1,s built, how many of them got totaled. And how many people actually bought the farm in them. Thats a statistic that would be interesting to know.

darn are car tastes are almost the same mine is a 67 gt 500 like the front ens more . but i will never be that rich . the thing to do is a clone . i was never a chev guy till i drove my first zr1. now i am hooked .and its not abad 2nd to the dream ride . just so you know .when i bought my black car it had 73k . the first of aug it will be 4 years and she just hit 150 k and runs better than ever . went to sac last weekend and ran 11.61 @119.72 .so when ya get ready to mod her . go see corey he is fair price wise and does excellent tunning. o just change the oil every 3 k .i think i will get 200k before i even think of a rebuild .. but i cant go faster as i would need a roll bar. i have a set of headers order for the callaway . it will be fun to see what she runs .. just remember that these car like to be reved like a 4 banger the more you beat her the better she likes it ..............otfl
