Manual vs Automatic for HPDE

New to forum and Corvettes, in the market for an HPDE car that is still good for street driving. Is the automatic transmission viable or should I stick with looking for a 6060 or 6070.

Primarily comes down to personal preference. It also depends on if you are looking for an LT1 powered car or the Z06. If pushed hard the Z needs cooling upgrades if auto equipped.

I prefer the M7 for the driving experience.
