I have a Ruby Red and I have some questions about the markings. I know that on the sides of the hood is the special 40 with the Corvette Flags but what about the back of the car. Mine has "Corvette" in black and not the embossed look that I've seen on others. I also have "LT-1" in black on the lower passenger side rear. Obviously I am not the original owner (back in 93 I could barely pay rent let alone buy a 'vette) and the sticker and build sheet says nothing. Any ideas?

I don't own one, so don't hold it to me, but I am pretty sure a previous owner added the "LT-1" decal, as well as painted in the "Corvette".

the Ruby cars got chrome emblems, front & rear and also, a small "40th" emblem on the sides of each front fender.

As stated above, the LT1 emblem and decals in the embossed area of the bumper are not original - If you like it though, let it stay :cool

Yep, the LT 1 was added. The center wheel caps were also ruby, not chrome

reminds me of when I first got my ruby, the previous owner put the 40th anniversary ZR-1 badges on the side as opposed to the regular 40th. I procrastinated about buying the correct ones, and then went to the 1st Cruise In of CAC with the wrong badges on.... I didn't get too much grief about it, but I quickly pointed out that I was well aware that the car was not a ZR-1 and would change the badges when I got back home....
