MAS cleaner

Has anyone used CRC brand Mass Air Sensor cleaner in the spray can and if so did you notice any appeciable difference afterward?

I have a 1998 TRC with 87,000 miles on it, of which I am the third owner and probably no one has ever cleaned the MAS. I would also like to use it on my year 2000 Silverado Pickup.

I have no performance complaints or codes with either vehicle just looking at this as regular/preventative maintenance.

Your thoughts, please.

When I installed my K&N cai, I did clean my MAF with the CRC spray can. I had just gotten the vette so I can't compare before or after. I just figured it needed it with 47000 miles on it and I had it off anyway. It won't hurt to clean yours. Just be careful with wires.

It really works on vehicles with overoiled aftermarket air filters.

I cleaned the MAF on my '99 Blazer after 4 years, and it felt like I had a new motor. I think I may have over oiled my K&N filter one time, but it still should help some to clean it anyway. Very simple process, but just don't touch the fragile wires inside.
