I am looking for a Master Cylinder for a 1966 Corvette with Power Brakes. Does Anyone Have One For Sale?
Thanks
Ron

I have one email me for a price

Dale -
Ron and I were in Carlisle this weekend....Yes we found a couple of suppliers but the prices were around $1,000.00 as you said...we have a guy named Glenn from Corvette Cosmetics - Pennsylvania looking into one for us....(Sorry I don't have the number with me...) and also call Jim or Ron at Stoudt's Corvettes in Reading PA....The one on ebay the guy has it priced high and it is not resleeved...so that cost would have to be added on....
I hope this information helps you some....

Well the one on ebay found a new home for 577.00 plus shipping plus a needed rebuild of about 150.00 so for under 750 some one has a new master cylender.Stil less then the 1000.00 range seen at carlilse.

where on ebay did you locate that, was looking and didn't find any. Thanks Dale

Dale here is another one on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33566&item=2430849748

I have one that I have to get at least 850.00 for to cover my cost on it,the one above is listed as a buy it now for only 950.00
so some simple math here

2-nos screw in caps are at least $ 100.00
(mine has one repo cap and one nos)
1-rebuilt and replated boster at least $300.00
(mine is the master only)
1-rebuild of a master cylender from white post 150.00 plus shipping and handeling at least 170.00
mine is allready rebuilt )

This total's 570.00 out of the 950.00 means your only paying 380.00 for the master I thinks its a good deal,

As for how I found it on ebay I have about 6 saved searches I use that dig up practiclly anything to do with a midyear corvette. But when I was seaching for a master I had 3 searches I used that did not search only in corvette I searched with a part number and the words screw in caps in case some one had one and did not know what car it belonged to.

(I had found a freind a correct distributor for ls6 chevvelle that way )

Good luck with it

ref master cyl

I have one email me for a price

Do you still have the master cylinder for the 66 and what condition is it and cost. I have a friend looking for one for a car he is redoing frame off resto. He is looking for power brake master.

Thanks Jeff
