Max size for central muffler

Does anyone know what the max size dual in/out muffler is that will fit in a 90 tunnel? Will a 4x9 oval fit? I'm looking to add a muffler to quiet my headers, straight exhaust w/ Borla's a bit. Haven't had time to crawl under and measure.

If I remember right the cat on mine is about 4x6 not much room around it.

I crawled under the car, and it looks like 9" would really be pushing it. Would a couple of glasspacks help much without hurting performance? Anyone use Pypes chambered resonator/muffler?
