I recently (2 wks ago) bought a '66 coupe to satisfy my desire to own another mid-year. I last owned a '63 coupe in 1967 as a senior in high school. Since then I've owned a '77 (sold), an '03 Z06 (still have), and my recent purchase, a '66 coupe.

I've searched back threads and could not find any information as to what the maximum tire/wheel sizes would be for a mid-year. I do not want to cut/flare the fenders in any way shape or form.

I have the original knock-offs on it now with 215/70x15 tires. (Came on car)

I would like to run American Mag Torque Thrust Originals (TTO) in a 15x7 size and need to know what tire size to buy.

Thanks for any help.

215s are as wide as you will be able to go without modifications. 215s will rub up front on the frame by the steering box bolts. go wider-more rubbing.

RestoCreations,

Thanks for the reply.
