I'm more impressed than ever with the Vette Brakes Performance Plus suspension kit.

I finally got around to adjusting the spring rate (front and rear) today, and the ride is like the difference between night and day.

When I first ran some neighbourhood tests at the highest setting - outboard position #4 (many, moons ago) it felt like riding a ride-um lawn mower down a cobblestone street. I backed it off to position #3 and have used that setting until today. That was a reasonably good ride improvement, but man-hole covers still felt like a 2-foot deep pothole.

So now, at position #2, it still handles amazingly well, but it's also livable.

What is truly amazing is how easy it is to adjust this suspension -- front and rear. Change the spring rate? Okay -- just move two bolts front and two bolts rear to different holes and you're done. Fifteen minutes after getting the car up on stands and the job is finished.

Change the ride height? Sure. Just adjust two nuts front and two nuts rear up or down and you're done........except in this case, you'll need to check the alignment.

I'm very, very happy with the design. Thanks VB&P. :w

How adaptable is this suspension? Well the change from street to track would take all of 20 minutes to:
- jack her up
- switch the spring rate adjustment bolts to a different hole
- swap out the tires

............oh and drop the Hooker side tubes off too. :D

Zoom, zoom.

Hey Bob, no ESP on my part but I sure know how you feel. Like yourself I went through all the different settings, front and rear, and since I don't autocross or race the car, after trying out all the different settings, I opted for the smoothest at the innermost position. I swear that sometimes I think I swapped out the car, and that I am driving someone else Corvette. !

Another thing that is particular interesting is your mention of the height adjustment. It really turns me on to see that there is no longer any tension on the springs, once the wheels are off the ground.

I just ordered another complete setup for my SWC project, and will never again be satisfied, or use the factory suspension on any of my cars. Long live VBP's " Performance Suspension Upgrade"
