When i turn on my head lights....i pull the head light switch....then i have to open them with the pull lever under the steering column......is this the way they all are or is the head light switch gone? its not a big deal since i dont drive at night much , but im wondering if this is normal...it seems like an awful lot of work to remove the drivers side dash panel....i had the entire interior out last winter and stopped at that point....to many things to disconnect!
any opinions are greatly appreaciated...thanks:bu

If you can pop the lights up with the over ride I would suspect the switch as well. As I recall, this can be replaced by removing the upper dash pad without removing the lower driver's panel.

the light switch has a Vacuum switch for the pop ups, I did my interior 3 years ago and replaced the switch which broke again last year, rather then pull the drivers side dash I replaced the pop ups with 96 chev truck lights Lighter, brighter and no pop ups
