Maybe the dumbest question ever

But I am getting frustrated, I just bought a pair of 79-82 seats and am putting them in but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the seats to fold down. What am I missing?

they should just fold over...sounds like something is jammed,preventing them from folding over....
do a search...seems we've had this problem before.....

Might need a shot of WD-40 on the hinges.

if there non-power they should just fold down easily, no levers or knobs to pull. not sure if there power but should be the same.

Don't you have a release button on the back of the seat, pressing it should allow the seat to come forward.

no release button, my 75 had the button high up on the top, this fiberglass frame dont have one anywhere. I know they fold down because they were folded down when I bought them, I folded them up and they locked somehow. Weird.

I would venture to say the hinge somehow got stuck. They should just fold.

They should just fold as there is no button to push on a 78,79

There is no button.
But there is a catch mechanism that is supposed to keep the seat from folding in a collision.
I know several people who say that has gotten stuck and the seat won't fold.

Search the forum, i know the solution has been posted.
