Got a 94 Coupe, had it less than a year. I noticed my console cover seems to lean towards the driver. In an effort to level it. I finally got around to trying to raise the door catch. It's not adjustable. There are no slots on the hinge for adjustment so how do I lower the passenger side of the console lid or raise the drivers side?
:confused as confused as ever, Sam

I've had mine off and you are right....no adjustment. If you look close I think they all appear to "lean". I know mine do. Let's watch and see how others respond.

My '93 does have some adjustment available to the fixed catch on the console - not the lid. Also, there should be rubber "bumpers" on the console that the lid rides against. If they are missing, the cover would lean toward the driver.

My catch (on the console) is adjusted as high as possible. I will look for the rubber bumpers but I have to tell you the latch barely engages as is, if the bumpers were not there and I added them it would raise the lid too high to reach the latch.

No rubber bumpers. I can see where some might go but again that will keep the door from latching.

It would be an easy matter to fabricate a longer (L-shaped) catch for the latch (on the console), with a slotted screw hole giving it some adjustment. Then rubber bumpers could be added for support for the lid.

I hate to make modifications to the Vette, but I also find it hard to believe that Chevorlet would not allow for adjustment. Nor can I beleive they would produce a vehicle of this caliber with a sloping console lid, tsk tsk.
