As some of you know I recently finished the interior of my 61. While I was taking the seats apart I found the skeletal remains of 2 dead mice obviously caught and crushed between the springs, probably when the driver sat in the seat. There were also 2 nests that were made inside the coil springs. Now I know where the cotton batting came from that I found in the old exhaust system. :)
Anyway the point is these critters can do major damage, especially to a car that sits for an extended period. I know this is probably a seasonal re-hash but thought it was worth a reminder again as I would hate to see this happen to anyone. Thanks all.

I look for mice droppings in the garage as well as have several mice traps around the cars....haven't seen any droppings nor have I caught any mice....knock on wood it stays that way.....

Anti freeze and peanut butter takes care of most rodens.Anti freeze and tuna takes care of cats.Guns take car of all other living things.as my wife says, hope we never have a serious fire because no one in our town would show up.

Careful with the anti-freeze. Lost my lab-[best friend] because he chomped down a dead mouse that had been in the anti-freeze. Not a pretty way to see him go and the vet said they see more of that then one would think. Will never again use the stuff as a poison. Will stick to traps that I can empty and check.

You can put moth balls around your car and under it, then inside you can put some "bounce" strips, it will help also, I put glue boards down around the walls. Mice will run with their fur touching the wall and normal only in and area about twenty feet. If you see one running across a open space it's because it been scared. :w

One good thing. I know I won't have to worry about him getting into my exhaust system:)
