Hope y'all don't mind, but I've posted this in a couple of different forums that I frequent, as well as the SE regional event forum. Moderators, feel free to delete if this is highly inappropriate!
Hey Everybody--
I just wanted to let everybody know about an upcoming show that our club, the Mid-Alabama Corvette Club, is putting on in Birmingham, AL, on May 15-16. I've never been to one of these shows (new to the club last July), but from what I hear, it is an absolutely first-rate show, and the Club has been putting it on for 22 years now. We welcome Corvettes from all over the Southeast (and elsewhere, if you can make it!). We currently have 60 Corvettes registered, and hope to double that by showtime. There is also a Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Open Show on May 15.
The best part about our show is that all the proceeds benefit the children of Magic Moments and John Croyle's Big Oak Ranch. This year, we're shooting for a $10,000-$15,000 donation, so the more folks we have, the merrier! Come show your car or just spectate! For more info about the show, as well as registration forms, check out this part of our website:

We also have created a 30-second TV spot featuring John Croyle that several local channels are airing as a PSA. Check out the QuickTime movie of it here:

Thanks,
Fred
P.S. Our club cars will not be judged to eliminate any possibility of "home cookin'"...
