Dumb question guys but was wondering how to remove the chrome " t " handle from the rest of the assembly does it srew of like the hood release or is there a pin to push out, didnt want to go and wreck somthing in the process. Thanks

Not so dumb, actually, or I'm dumb also. 63 has a unique parking brake assembly, and I'm not sure the handle is separable from the shaft and cable, it may have been "swaged" on. Although, Long Island Corvette offers a chrome handle for the 63 in their catalog (but they don't show any attaching parts for it)... checked underneath for an allen wrench socket set screw?

there is a hole through it but no set screw was kind of wondering if it has roll pin set up, but really doesnt look like it, course mine is kind of corroded, hard to tell.

Later mid-years have a pin, but I believe it's a solid pin, not a roll pin. Doesn't go all the way thru the handle (so it doesn't show thru on the top side of the handle), so I expect that it would have to be drilled to be removed.
