Another true story that I didn't tell Mark about when I crash landed (literally) in his driveway. I just installed a March undrive kit on the car, swapping the alternator to the driver's side. That caused me to extend the original alternator wires from the passenger side, over the front frame crossmember and out to the new alternator, being careful not to get anywhere near the headers. Secured the wires (in looms) with wire ties.

What I noticed on my ride downa' shore was that the Ammeter was reading erratically...sometimes as much as +20 amps. Just when that happened, my shifter rod took over and significantly increased the drama in my life.

In retrospect, in my haste to get out the door at home, I neglected to tighten the wire ties across the crossmember. So when VNV was looking into the engine bay, he saw the loom flopping around on the crossmember so I just pulled the existing wires ties tight. Solved that problem. He also didn't like the way the ground wire was secured so he added a wire tie to that. He's right that I need to cap the alternator positive terminal because it's always hot but that's another story.

So, on my way home to OC, I noticed that with JUST THE LAYING ON OF THE HANDS, VNV completely fixed the problem!!!!!!

THANK 'YA JESUS IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!:BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW :BOW

Man, I'll get years of stories out of you! :D

Mark is just our hero............

;LOL ;LOL ;LOL

not to mention just an all around great guy

If we can get him to CruiseFest next year he could perform a blessing of the Corvettes and cure everyone's problems. :D

I just had a vision of the lame throwing away their crutches, dancing in the streets. Fiberglass magically mending. Big blocks suddenly running cool. Free beer for the True Believers. :grouphug:

I got to look at Marks car at carlilse and after looking at what he did with his wiring It was plain to see he was a fellow paid attention to the little details.

As I have said before you guys are lucky to have each other

I absolutely agree with that assessment. EVERY ONE of his wires was perfectly placed. High quality components. I took pictures of his fuel line as my guide. I should be so lucky to get that close.

What the hell, I think I'll drop off the big block at his house next Friday night. See if he has time to re-wire it at midnight. It will be easy to visualize because the light from the '65 that I torched will cut down on the need for a shop light. :mad

Ok Ok ...that's enough.....You guys are killing me... But I do like the part about the Holy Moose Pee and the Robes...And waving my Holy Strut Rod over a Hot Running BB and dropping the Temp down to 180*........:L

Kid....You gotta bring the SB back over so we can re route the Hot Bat Cable from the Alternator. I have a much easier and cooler way of getting it to the passenger side....

There's a CruiseFest story behind the moose pee. If you attend next year we will be glad to share it with you as long as our friends from north of the boarder smuggle in some more.

Darn it Kid!!!! I completely forgot your in OC. I stayed the night at my parents house Saturday night on Asbury. Had I thought of it, we could have met up somewhere and grabbed a bite to eat or something.

Also, sure wish I had met Mark on Sunday. I met Andy form the board here, and it was real nice to put a face with the name.
