Mirror Problems...

The passenger side mirror doesn't work on my 86 vette. The driver side mirror works just fine. Where do you think the problem is. In the motor, or wiring. Just thought i would ask around before i start taking stuff apart.

I have the same problem with my 84 vette. My drivers side mirror works fine, but my passenger side doesn't. Also, my drivers side mirror seems like it falls out of place a lot and I constantly have to adjust it back to position. I'm interested in seeing what you get for a response vetteboy.

Mine is wierd, the driver side up/down works but not the in/out. Exact opposite on the passenger side wtf. lol

Most likely it's either the mirror select switch or the control switch. You need to get a wiring diagram and test each one.

I read somewhere that there is a cross type brace behind the mirror and if it is worn the mirror may wobble, or fall out of place. Well i am going to try to get some wiring diagrams, until then i am going to wing it. I will let you all know what i find

I recently found on my pass side that the mirror was pushed all the way to one position to far. When I manually adjusted it (it then had freedom to move) it worked again.
