I am interested if anyone can explain the differences in the C3 doors? Are they interchangable? Obviously the inside door releases and glass may be different, but are hinges? I have 1978 doors and am looking to install them on a 1968 convertible body.
Thanks a bunch.

All 69-77 coupe doors are essentially the same; ditto for 78-82. Convertible doors are different from coupes. If you swap convertible to convertible or coupe to coupe you should be okay. Ditto for door glasses. Coupe and convertible are different.

Hinges are probably the same.

68 doors are one year only, coupe and convertible, due to the thumb buttons.

:)

Years ago I put 79 doors on a 72 coupe I had , No problems with alignment or glass.I did however use the 79 door panels because of location of the release handle and they were power doors . But the glass is different between a coupe and a convertible. You should have no problem with installing the doors as long as you swap out the glass. They'll latch properly and hinges are the same. Good luck.
