Mobil 1 Filter

I have a 427 that has had the original cannister filter configuration replaced with a spin off conversion. The spin off filter does not have any ID on it. I'd like to buy a Mobil 1 filter for the car as I'm going to use Mobil 1 oil in it. Does anyone know what the Mobil 1 filter number would be? If not, does anyone know what the AC number would be so I can possibly cross reference it. Thanks

i'd just stop in AutoZone and look it up in the book, they have them there...... but DO GET the longer one. They make a short and long version, I think for the same price, the long one obviously has more filter area, and that's a good thing.

and just for the record, I'd go with Shell Rotella 15w40

Terry, from the Eckler's 2004 catalog, page 160 shows a 55-67 spin-on oil filter adapter kit, and Zip's 2003 catalog page 126. They both use the AC PF-25 spin on filter. I dont know if these are the same kit as yours or if they are all use the same filter short or long, but this give you a filter number to start with. Let us know when you find out what was correct. I went over to Auto Zone and the fellow came up with a number for me. M1-111. They didn't have one. I asked if there was anyway he could find out if it was the long one of the short one but he could not. Oddly, he couldn't cross reference the number. Their computer answers "AC Delco" when he put PF-25 in the cross reference field. He offered to order it for me but wanted me to pay for it which I didn't want to do unless he could tell me it was the long filter. Back in the day when their were "service stations" everywhere I could go to any Mobil station and solve this problem. Now they all sell chips and gatorade instead of oil filters and call themselves gas and convenience stores. The search continues, thanks for your help.
