I was supposed to get the car back today from getting the lifters adjusted and my Harlan Sharp 1.6 rolling rockers installed, but now my dad tells me that he called and said when he put everything back on something was hitting the valve covers, one on each side, so I am presuming they are the RR's. I thought this was a direct bolt on with no modifications? I hope the valve covers aren't toast. I guess I will drive over there and ask the guy what is exactly going on, and I am sure I will no pay through the roof for labor, it never ends does it :mad

you need to do your homework more!

these are never just "Bolt On" items! always ALWAYS do your homework!

with that being said, there are drip tabs under the stock valve cover that needs to be cut out to make it work with 1.6 rr's. cut them out with a die grinder and you will be ok just as long as you didn't bend no push rods :eyerole

Sorry I would have responded earlier, but I had to go to work. He said they might be a problem, but he wasn't sure till he looked at them. He just grinded some of those ridges off, and all is fine. I am still hearing some lifter tick, I am going to start it tomorrow morning just to make sure. If so I guess it is back to his shop, he said he might need to take them another half turn.
