More good news on Baby.........

I got a call yesterday from the shop and he has been working on the doors the last couple of days and he left a message to let me know that he has them fitting really nice now. I'm going to try to swing by there again today to take a look at them. This can be great news as the door fitting and gap alignment was a priority on this job for me as the door gaps were somewhat inconsistent all the way around the car from top to bottom and most especially up on the top of the doors as it runs along the roofline (coupe doors can be a real P.I.T.A).
(yes Doug and Dennis, my little "episode" last summer involving the driver side door didn't help matters any on this either but we aren't going to discuss that).
If he does have the doors finished being fitted i'll get some more pix today to post.

Too true. We spent a lot of time getting them at least a little bit better than St. Louis got them. ;)

from what i've seen on too many midyear coupes, getting them "better than St. Louis" isn't saying too much.....LOL.
The coupe door fitting is one of the biggest problems i see on so many cars and while it may not always be so bad to really be too noticable to most people (at least non-vette people), the door gaps and alignment are a pet peeve for me. My goal on the doors is for them to look as perfect as Collin (EBVETTE) got them to look on his '63 or at least pretty close to that. Seeing inconsistent gaps and poorly fit doors just bothers the he** out of me for some reason when i see it, especially on my own car.

Uh oh. I think I'm going to have to alter my Mother's car show sign that reads "Look but don't touch" to read "Look if your name is not Barry but don't touch." :D

I don't thing you have too much to worry about. i've seen both your cars and they are both beautiful! i'd trade you for either one of your cars any day.

Hey Barry I didn't know you were looking up my gaps. ;LOL You can only hope your gaps are as good as mine ;LOL

Its the small details that set the car apart....keep up the good work...
