ok, so the '73 I was looking at seemed to be a bust, any opinions on this car? quite a bit cheaper, not a convertable, but high horse 350, 69, blue, 4 speed. I see a non-original alt, and some BS looking alternator wiring. the color is original, but on the bottom of the trim tag, i see red paint, leading me to believe maybe someone had painted it red before. shouldn't the fender gills be chrome? ok guys, tear it apart!

I'll go first.
Wiper door not fully closed.
It's never just the tach cable.
Right rear wheel. In both pics rear corner is high.
Does he have the compressor brackets?
Wrong air cleaner.
Front bumper doesn't match body on LF corner.
But it does have speed warning.

I talked to the owner this evening. he is going to send some more pics tomorrow. he claims the wiper door works fine. claims no hits at all. says it sits straight, swears to 84,000 miles, and says it's a nice tight car. seems like an older gentleman, and says he owns a jewelry store. he said if i call the store tomorrow, they will email me all the pictures of whatever i want. I'll have them take some of the bumper, rear end, frame key holes, door jambs, etc. he said he would hope the auction closes at $16,500, but at this point there are no bids, and no reserve, with an opening bid of $12,500. $16,500 seems a little steep. maybe $14,000 tops?

Just saw some stuff
HEI distributor - that's why the tach doesn't work.
ignition shielding missing
Some small stuff missing

Pictures needed of:
frame:both corners in front of the rear wheels
front crossmember and lower control arms
rear shots showing trailing arms and calipers
steering linkage
pic of the tach
clear pic of the emissions sticker behind the booster
stamped numbers on block just in front of right head
and yes it should have the gill trim pieces
After this you will need a floor jack.
If it all checks out it should be a decent vette.
But it needs a close up inspection.
