More Speedster tidbits w/in>

A thread awhile back was discussing Speedsters...
Here is a bit more on the subject...
(This also ties into the "Unconverted option B2K car(s) ... )
Speedster #06 was actually the last series 1 speedster built and was the Last B2K built. based upon a White/black car. it became the Bright red/white over tan interior Speedster / the runflat wheels. Sold through Corvette Mike (built in 92) it was last heard of in TX (98). Built at a cost of roughly 174K:eek

The LAST number car is #10 in the series 1 cars - It is in PA and is Black w/ lipstick leather

...then there is car # 9, still somewhat of a "mystery"

Actually the color of #6 is a magenta red color called House of Candy. I have an issue of Vette where it was featured.

Owner is from Kentucky and reportedly has over 50 miles of private highway :cool The car is the second series II Speedster and is the only one to have had a hardtop fitted. It is based upon the LT5 and is Twin Turbo - rated at 766hp. 0-60 is a rated 3.4 sec w/ 1/4 mi in 11.2@129.85 mph.

Having personally seen this car, I can honestly say - pictures will not do it justice - Beautiful

Rumor has it that the owner wanted a coupe re made out of this car for more performance:confused The paint & body guy that constructed the car for Callaway Cars told me how he would have preferred buying the car from him rather than turn it back to a coupe...

There are 10 B2K Series Speedsters out there and 2 Series II Speedsters (based upon the LT5 TT )
