There is, of course, the through-the-radiator-plastic-tie approach, but I'd rather do something a little nicer when I mount my SPAL fan assembly.

Any thoughts?

Don't the Spal fans come with the bracket? I was looking at the package from Dewitts and that was part of the attractiveness of the package.

Dewitts offers their own brackets, but the cost is pretty high. Or, it was when I bought the fans... it appears that they just started a sale. Although $344 is still a large jump from the $250 that I paid - $94 for the brackets and wiring. But, if I knew they were going to be having a sale, I would have waited.

Oh, well...

I still need to figure out how to mount these fans. I wonder if I can find someone with a sheet metal brake, and make a bracket like the one that they use...

Well, I got out the radiator, the fan unit, and the oil and transmission coolers, today, and looked it all over.

Even if I got pre-made brackets for the fans, I'd have to make brackets for the coolers, since I want to make them, the two remote filters, the fans and the radiator into one assembly. So, I'm going to design and fabricate a pair (upper and lower) of one-piece brackets that will do it all, simply and cleanly.

With any luck, and some measuring-twice-cutting-once, I'll have some nice aluminum brackets to hold it all together. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to sell them to others who want to do a similar install? Time will tell.
