Muffler tips

on a '03 vette.. do the muffler chrome tips come off or is there a good way to clean them?

The tips are tack-welded on. They do not come off.

Use a good quality stainless steel or chrome polish (and some elbow grease....).

The 2003 50th, I bought in Jan. Had pretty dirty tips. I bought some Flitz and used a bunch of elbow grease and now they are looking like new. Nice way to workout the arm while laying on the concrete.

Are you referring to something like NEVR-DULL, JR? I've used it to clean various metal pieces I purchased like an antique champagne ice bucket and silver trays and I've wondered if it would work on my Corvette's chrome muffler tips.

Seems I've read it works on polishing chrome too.
