Well I was going to try and finish the interior for Carlisle ..but it aint gonna happen. I haven't even fired the motor yet.

So instead I'll look to buy carpet and maybe some Leather Seat covers at Carlisle.

Who's brand of carpet and or seat covers do you think is the best buy for fit and quality? Who's brand would you recomend??
Mid America... Corvette America...etc...

And who should I stay away from..!

:cheers

Mark I've got Al Knoch that I have yet to put in but it's what everyone has recommended to me. I bought it at Knoxville this past fall and still have yet to install it.. BTW whatcha worring about the interior when I still haven't heard about that 502 firing up.. What are you waiting for???????????????????????????????? Dave..

Worried 'bout carpet and seats?............Ain't even fired that bad boy?........ Won't drive her to Carlisle? :crazy

Throw an orange crate in there and have someone strap you in with duct tape........but drive 'er. ;LOL

Geeeeeeeeeeesh. :grinshot

The boss says drive her there so toss your watchdog in the back and fire her up for Carlisle! You don't need no stinkin interior, she's a driver with no A/C! Tough it up , grab a crate and get behind the wheel!:lou ;LOL Oh, the boss wants to know if you need a support vehicle;) :L

Interior done or not go for it, you'll have a blast . We'll be looking for ya!

Mark,

Might be a good Sunday project at Carlisle to put it in.

Nobody's perfect.

The only two brands of carpet I've installed recently are ACC and Knoch. Back in the seventies and eighties there were other reproduction brands, but I don't think they're available now. I don't have the patience to order carpet from Romeo.

Both ACC and Knoch sell carpet that is "thinner" than the factory installed mid-year carpet. Hold the '65-7 reproduction carpet up to the sun and you can see specks of light. You can't see anything through original sixties GM carpet.

Both brands offer acceptable color matches except for the '65-7 "bright blue" carpet sold by Knoch. It's way too bright. It should not be the color of the seats and door panels. The factory "bright blue" carpet was a noticeably darker color. If you request color samples from ACC, you can pick out a darker shade of blue that is closer to correct.

I have used knoch on my 66, seat covers were perfect and so was the carpet, along with the top. They have come so highley recomended I would not even think of using anyone else.

All of the stock componets for the 62 also came from knoch.

So far so good

Oh....it's coming to Carlisle ...I plan on not doing the interior over except for having Kid_Again Air brush the center Vertical console area. Just gotta make sure I have some Martinis on hand.....to steady him out...:L

I also had planed to have Rob go over the body and repair all the dings... esspecially the one on the front where I dropped a set of brake pads from the shelf above rignt on the front fendor. Left 2 nice big "Snake Eye's" chips..

But you know what.......if all that isn't done....It's still coming to Carlisle... :beer

Not a bad Idea... I'll have to think on that one.... We could do a complete interior change over on the show field....That would be fun.. Every thing we would need is up their.. I could send my Older Bro out on his Rented Electric Scooter and let him do the shoping.....:L

My worry right now is getting the motor ready to fire.. I was just trying to line up some new interior for the down time after Carlisle. I figured as long as I was at carlisle I could save a few bucks on the interior gack....:beer

Ok...here's the deal..... I'll drive my rat wagon to Carlisle with no interior and just an Orange crate with duct tape...But... You have to send the :"67Heaven" Support Vehical with the Moose Pee in the back to follow me their.

Labatts or Molsons? We have been watering the herd to get our "Stock" ready for Carlisle so we have a good supply:L . I guess now I have to see if the boss is willing to drive there without his support vehicle right? I might end up running behind you carrying a tool box all the way to Carlisle if Bob doesn't go for it!;LOL So Mark you didn't mention the watchdog eh? Thanks for the laugh Mark!
Good luck getting what you need to before Carlisle, I know I'm looking forward to meeting a few of you there. See you soon.
