What Muncy tail shaft part number do I need to install a Muncy 4-speed in my 1960 Vette? I have a chance to purchase a good tranny, but I need to know if I will have to replace the tail shaft so it'll fit.

Thanks,

Ralph

Welcome to the CAC.

I'm sure someone here knows the answer. I'm going to move this thread to the C1 and C2 Forum for better exposure.

The Muncie 3846429 tailhousing with the driver's side speedo connection will work fine - it's the same configuration as the B-W T-10 tailhousing that was used in 1960 production. You could also use the 3857584 tailhousing with the passenger side speedo connection, but that will require a much longer speedo cable; either one will work.
