Help! My 1979 Corvette wont start

was driving fine yesterday and this morin wont start!!its getting fuel and no spark pulled spark wire put a new plug and there is no spark!!!

check your wiring between the distributor,and the starter.

Did you check ignition coil ?

79 uses an HEI- common problems- 1. Rotor- burns thru and no spark to the plugs. 2. Coil- they eventually die. 3. Module- easy to test- hook a 12v testlight from the distributor "TACH" terminal to ground, crank the engine. If the light flashes, the module and pickup coil are good.
You might also disconnect the tach and try that first- the tach filter goes bad and shorts to ground- no pulse from the module, no spark.
