1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
So this year the family Holiday card was decided to be a picture of the 62 in a senic setting with the kids in the car. Anyway we take the picture and send out the card. This moring 8 am I get a call from the body shop who did the work on my car (we sent him a card) and he says he slow because of the holiday drop the 62 off and he will fix the deplorable color of the hood. I have not noticed the color problem, but then again I am so busy at work i havent even thought about the car since the fall.long story short , I guess I kinda out wore my welcome in this shop last year with the problems I had with my glass ruptures and when i built the custom hood for my car i had my brother in law paint it for me and i guess the color wasnt perfect. My wife was nice enough to get the car to the shop for me as my work schedule would not allow me to do it.

I stopped buy today to see what they were doing and I was thrown out of the shop, but not before i was able to see the were taking the letters off of the front header panel. I can only assume he may plan on blending the color into the fenders and header panel or he may be fixing the hood gaps

I keep you guys posted

Larry, I know what you mean about a bodyshop gettinh sick of seeing the customer. When Baby was in for paint last year I usually stopped by to check on progress a minimum of once, sometimes twice a week, sometimes more......
i'm surprised my painter still talks to me! :)

Well I am not sure why he was angry at me or what ,but he is a good buisness man and I will always do the same thing (hunt for work if I am slow rather then pay my guys to do nothing) For me its bad timing as I dont have a minute to spare or an ounce of energy to put towards the car.

actually Larry, it sounds like perfect timing for you.
You may not have the time to put into the car right now but obviously he does. that means the car can still get it worked on like it is now at his shop while you are too busy and/or tired to do it yourself.
:beer

BTW, I still think that is a BEAUTIFUL car you built and can't believe you are already considering selling it even if it's for another project car.
