Nice ride

:_rock

The new wheels make all the difference.

Bryan.

It looks terrific - wheels, ride hieght and strips - it's perfect.

Remo:cool

Thanks everyone. I had waited many times on getting rims, because I never really could find any that I had to have. Until I saw these. The car seems to handle better since its been lowered too.

Is that a new paint job, or is it just an effect of the light?

Cool. It looks great. Meaner, stealthier and more aggressive. :cool

UB,

Pretty cool! Are those GM wheels? Does GM even make black Z06 wheels? Are they lighter than the stock wheels?

Like the addition of the hash mark! :upthumbs

I just had the front bumper painted, because some jackass hit me in the parking lot and didnt even leave a note!!:mad The rest is original.

I agree Tammy. I think it looks allot better. I have even considered putting a black GS stripe down the center, but I am not sure if I want that.

Edmond, I got them from House of Wheels. I dont think GM offers them. I will have to have my fater in law weigh them to see if there is a difference. I like the has mark, it goes good with eveything else.

Very nice... the 1" lower looks very nice... not overdone.
The wheels definitely look aggressive... nice work!

......... Looks fantastic UB, but if you are requesting comments on the center stripe, my vote is No, ;) .
I think they way you have it set up now screams CLASS and Performance.
Very Nice.

Bryan, looks great. Did you do the lowering yourself or have someone else do it? The C5 has been lowered and the C4 looks really tall sitting next to it with all that space in the wheel wells.

I agree. I would have to see one in person before I was sold on it.

Leon, I had a guy walk me through it. The back was easy, just swapping of some bolts. The front was little harder, because you wedges, that have to be installed. If you have allot of room, some time and good tools, you can do it at home. If not I would take it to someone. The back is somewhat adjustable with the bolts. To adjust the front, I would have to drop the suspension and shave some off the wedges. I had people tell me I would screw up the areodynamics of the car, because GM designed it with a wedge like stance to make it more stable at high speeds. I havnt noticed any less stability though.

Bryan,

I think it would look awesome with the black stripe down the middle. It just looks cool.

Have you painted the calipers red?

Personally I think what you have now is perfect as far as accent. The combination of the rims, tinted windows and hash marks give just enough accent color to compliment the main red color. I think the GS stripes down the center would be too much, but that's just my opinion.. ;) Right now there is a perfect blend of accent color and main color.

I'll have to check into the lowering. Engineering is a trade-off between what works well and what would not be acceptible by the customer. They have to balance the looks of the car versus customer complaints and regulations on ground clearance. That and having to put up with hitting the jounce bumper more often. ;)

Looks great Bryan. The week we were in NC we were wishing we could hook up with you for a beer or two. :beer And it looks like we'll miss you at Octobervettes and Ecklers as well. Maybe January for the NCRS show?

Leon

Edmond, Painting the calipers is next on the list, unless I can find some Z06 brakes for a good price. :_rock

Leon, It would have been nice to hook up. As it is, I will be missing Ecklers. I was really looking forward to it to. I think Fred might still go, but I am not sure yet. I will be down there for Thanksgiving, so if you are staying in the area, maybe we can hook up then.
