News: My C6 Was Born March 18, 2008

Well it seems my C6 came in to the world on Tuesday March 18, 2008. Don't know the time but as you might imagine it was a little emotional when Jeremy called from the dealership and told me we had a VIN! Yep it came in to this world with all 4 wheels and tires, kicking and screaming.

I found out we were expecting on Feb. 26 when the order was accepted and then the waiting and anticipation began for the expected production week. Once the news was received that I should expect my little black C6 to enter the world during the week of the March 17 I really started to get excited, maybe even a little scared with that news as the reality sunk in.
I'm getting my Vette!

Well right than I knew there was much work to do. I had to get the garage ready, purchased micro fiber towels and washing mitts, a new Cyclo polisher, wax, tire dressing, installed new flooring. Oh the work!!

Now more waiting, I'm told I should be able to bring it home around the end of the month. I'll post pictures once it arrives.

I do have a question however.. I went out to buy cigars that said "It's a Vette" but cannot find them.. Can you imagine? So if anyone knows of a place that sells them please let me know.

Thanks Jason.. and congrats right back at you. Well I ordered everything but the kitchen sink actually. I was able to use my father-in-laws employee discount so I decided to load it up. I ordered a black coupe with ebony interior, the LT3 package with navigation, HUD, etc.. Z51, the two top roof package, NPP exhaust, and the GCA Ultimate package which includes the 15 spoke wheels (I love those wheels), screen mesh package, Chrome door handles, spoiler, hood blanket with light and car cover. The graphics package was also offered but I did not care for them so I opted for the car cover. I also got a GM zero deductable extended warranty 72 month / 90 K miles and that is transferable should I ever decided to sell it. I will post some photos soon.
