I purchased a '73 coupe last November (my first Vette), and it sits crooked. The distance from the ground to the lower edge of the rear fender is about 3/4" lower on the driver's side than the passenger's side. Installed a new spring last week and while the back end now sits higher, it did nothing for the lean. After spending a little more time looking this weekend, there is a similar height difference at the front wheels. Tire pressure is even all around.
The front shocks are leaking and all four will be replaced soon, although I don't know that this makes a difference. Also noticed that there are quite a few shims on the driver's side trailing arm (the tire sticks out noticably further from the wheel well than the tire on the passenger's side). Could this be contributing to the problem?
Any thoughts on what I should be checking would be appreciated. Thanks.
