Ok guys just got the 93 vette, car has 35,900 miles on it, and the other day i took it to my buddies shop a decent haul, while there we flushed the coolant and changed the oil, the temp never went above 220 while flushing . anyway heres the deal, the day before i noticed that it seemed to have a little miss at idle in gear sitting at a light, but once i got home from the shop i now have a ever so slight pop from the exhaust and a tap on the pass side of the motor, at first i would think a tune up issue with the slight miss but the slight pop and tap on the pass side is starting to get me worried. any ideas where i can start? i tried to find some info on this but wasnt able to find anything that really sounded like what i got going on..

thanks in advance for any help, i will be checking the car out in the next week or so after work as im rarely home as work has been bad since i returned a month ago.

Several things could cause a problem such as yours............
Spark plug,Spark plug wire,Vacuum leak(Very Possible),Weak Injector,Weak Valve spring,Broken Valve spring,Sticking Valve,Worn Rocker arm,Bent push rod(Very Possible if the car has set around allot!!),Worn Cam Lobe, Damp Opti-Spark to name a few!! I've found the LT1 and LT4 are very dependable engines and I had never found a bad Opti-Spark in several Customer vehicles and several 100,000 miles in vehicles of my own!!(Except for one broken in a accident!!) But the last 3 months I've had to change 2,Both on Low Miles 93 and 94 model cars!!(93 with 49,000 mi,94 with 58,000 mi!!) The insides were Rust Bowels, and flakes of rust were getting in the counter holes on the disk that the optical eyes read in the unit!!:thumb:thumb I replaced both Opti's with Genuine AC Delco units!!:thumb
But you need to do some more checking first! The Opti Job can be Expencive, and a Large pain in the A$$! :thumb

Just like a woman . . . there's something amiss but, she won't tell you what it is!!!:chuckle
Welcome to Corvette ownership!:thumb

ps moderator . . . not all women!

Yes, so true.... maybe i should go ask it "whats wrong?" just to hear..."Nothin" .lol

Gmjunkie, i was hoping you would chime in, yes from what i understand the car must have sat a bit cause they said the mileage was highway mileage driving between two points id say is about 40ish miles from eachother. I will start with the plugs i believe and see how they look, i picked up some Ac delco platinums the other day for it. also plan on doing a comp check as one of the first things
