My headlight don't work sort of

Can someone please help me out.

I have 2002 C5. The other day the headlight came on during the day and nothing we could do would put them down while driving.

This evening my wife took the car before dark, headlight did not come on. Once dark they still would not come one. she drove home in the dark.

When she get home I go out start it up and presto they come on as they should.

Anyone have any suggestions?

First thing I would check are the grounds under the hood. There are two one on each side right behind each headlight. Pull them apart and make sure the connections are not corroded.

fyi..... you can manually raise and lower them.

My Right Side (Passenger side) headlight motor has been replaced two times prior to me owning the car. Currently when the lights come on it does not come up, I have to manual screw the motor to bring it up. It will stay up and go down when turned off and will work normally for awhile, then it will re-occur. I then manual screw them up agin and the same thing keeps occurring. Any ideas on whet may be going on.

check the headlght control module. there is another thread about it i posted a few minutes ago. hope this helps
